Aye, its crazy how a band like Felt could go so much under the radar. Not only did Liz sing on two tracks but Robin Guthrie produced some of their work too. Adrian Borland produced their last album as well. They were one of those bands loved by musicians and Peel listeners who never had the success their talent deserved. That said they did do some crazy uncommercial things like a under 20 minute instrumental album. If you can seek out some of their stuff they've got a lot of great original stuff especially their early post punk and jangly stuff on Cherry Red Records, as well as some of the later Creation Records stuff they did with Martin Duffy. For me, they're one of the greatest bands I've ever heard.

oh, you listened to Phosgene Nightmare. did you like it? i think it's got some songs even better than most of Phosphene Dream, but then again i'm the sort of crazy person who usually thinks the b-sides are the best part of the meal. so to speak. um, yeah. the boat song is especially sweet. and choose to choose is good advice.

I love The Wake; especially their Peel session tracks, The Drill is magnificent and among the greatest session songs I ever heard on the John Peel show. I ain't too familiar with that album to be honest as apart from the odd song here and there, I mostly adore JAMC's three 80's albums.

You're very welcome and that's a great time period for music. I'm mostly on a Krautrock and post punk kick lately. As well as being addicted to anything I used to hear on John Peel, lots of Welsh artists, Galaxie 500 and The Durutti Column. I remember watching MTV too when it used to be good. 120 minutes in particular was great, there was some crazy and great stuff on there. Hope you have a great weekend too.
