A big ugly block of delayed reply to your delayed reply: I've only seen Radiohead once annoyingly, that was at Reading fest 2 years ago. I wasn't even close to the stage yet they managed to blow me away and it's definitely in my top 5 gigs. Which is impressive what with it being a festival performance. They usually don't rate so highly with me. I've never really given Hail to the Thief a chance actually. Don't know why. I think they play Creep just because they feel they have to. Shame really. I can't wait for the Arctic Monkeys record. I recently found an amateur video on youtube of a gig they played where Josh Homme came on and sang with them. I had a mini heart attack. By the way I saw QOTSA the other day. Homme was on form. Best show ever.

So glad I'm not the only one who's bothered by the merciless obliteration of formatting. I like Kid A and Amnesiac, can honestly take or leave the others. Everyone harps on about the singles from OK Computer and The Bends, but for me that's not Radiohead at their best. They're even supposed to hate Creep themselves aren't they. When you listen Pyramid Song/The National Anthem/Reckoner/Jigsaw Falling Into Place/Every song on In Rainbows (before I get carried away and list every one) their early stuff is thoroughly boring in comparison. Yeah you're right about the BRMC-esqueness, I like the way they've gone for this record, I heard a lot of people say they didn't like Humbug and they wish they'd go back to how they used to be. But I thought Humbug was perfection (probably because of Homme's input) so I'm glad they haven't lost the maturity that they gained along with Humbug, but they've brought back hints of the old stuff. Wow this really is one big ugly block of pretentious music rant…

Yeah I listened to Total Life Forever a million times, I didn't think they could have beaten their first but I think they managed to. As much as I've tried to feel passionate about Foos - I always felt like I should because it seems appropriate with other bands I'm into, but I was never that crazy on them. Apart from Hero and Everlong. But I like the new one. In Rainbows is my favourite Radiohead record, so King of Limbs had a lot to live up to for me, it took a while but I definitely think it is a grow-on-you album. I'm noting all your suggestions by the way - on the to do list they go! And yes, I'm very excited about Arctic Monkeys, if the rest of it's like Don't Sit Down then it's gotta be a winner. And oh yes!! XX, I loved that album. Don't know why that got left out! Yeah you're allowed 6, what the hell, rules are there to be broken.

You've kind of made me realise what a rubbish year for music 2010 was for me - not because the music was bad, but because my effort to listen to new stuff was lacking horribly. Now I think about it the only albums I can remember significantly liking other than Brothers were Foals - Total Life Forever and Massive Attack - Heligoland… I just kept putting every other album on the to do list and never got round to it. I might make it my mission now. This year so far I've been enjoying Radiohead and The Strokes new records, despite both of them being not what I expected, and Foo Fighters new one. What about you?

Well I was browsing through the listeners of Goldie's Band out of curiosity, and you were one of them, and as well as that you seemed to have quite respectable taste! I also noticed you're a designer, as I'm a graphic design student. I'm currently sneaking a look at your portfolio (returning the nosiness) haha That's crazy, I still absolutely adore those 5 albums. I was going to do a favourites of 2010, but never got round to it… all I know is The Black Keys - Brothers would be my number one… And yes… A Josh Homme fan I am. Hugely.
