His voice seems reminiscent of this band called Swans. They are from America (late 80's to mid 90's) and the singer has a very deep, intriguing voice. Agreed. The voice was incredible deep, very bluesy. So it used a 2 string bass. Very rare and unique. So the sound is from the middle 90´s.
