Yeah, I had a meeting in Houston yesterday so I drove down and decided to see them in Houston. Sadly some violent asshole had to get into a physical altercation with me because I was pushed to closely against him and he was uncomfortable. The guy was psychotic and pulled a knife and sliced my friends hand with it. Spent most of the show dealing with police paperwork :/ Stay classy htown. On a positive note, Foals gave me 4 tickets to see them in Austin at LZR!

Houston unfortunate eh? I hope it gets less unfortunate/you get a more fortunate city-dwelling-situation. How was your weekend in Austin? I hope it was splendid! And yea, I've heard of Portugal. The Man, but I'm not sure I've ever actually heard a song by them. It was indeed Man Man I showed ya. As for recommendations, I haven't really heard much from new artists, but the albums I've loved the most from this year are Frog Eyes - Paul's Tomb: A Triumph, Marnie Stern - Marnie Stern, The Books - The Way Out, and Dark Time Sunshine - Vessel.
