Barbara, I kind of agree with you. I do enjoy some of the songs from this year but nothing that really stands out. I like Sweden (forgettable after 2 listens), Lithuania (interesting), Austria (very 90s but tired after 5 listens), Spain (may make anywhere between 10-30 listens for me), UK (enjoyable but only because of Olly)... and then there is that VERY controversial song that we are not allowed to like (that is all I will say). I do think that Poland (Luna) should have qualified, and I knew from the very first listen that we (Australia) had absolutely zero chance... ZERO! For goodness sake, just send Dami back or one of our other pop princesses with a GOOD song... i.e. get DNA to write it!!

Ok and I will say that Eden is my favourite song this year... and I'm about to be cancelled.

And Australia is much better with the studio version... still no chance.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I'm ashamed to say that I had never actually listened to this song. I kinda skipped over Madame X... it didn't really grab me, except Medellin, God Control, Looking for Mercy and maybe a couple of others. Listening to Ciao Bella now... it's really good!

I wouldn't call myself a Taylor fan... not at all. I do kinda feel like I must be missing something but I just don't see it. All of her music sounds the same to me, although I am really loving Wildest Dreams atm. I do think she's talented and very prolific - I just don't get it. Billie Eilish is someone I kind of dismissed. I saw her perform on some daytime show in the beginning and was not a fan. Then recently, I've heard a couple of songs performed by other people, which I've loved. I've then checked out who sings the original songs only to find it's Billie Eilish. I need to give her more of a chance.

You're right... I'm not hopeful at all. I think the winner is an ok song... quite commercial but the staging was woeful. Vanessa tried hard but the live version was shocking. Don't get me started on Jack Vidgeon... what an off-key screecher he's turned out to be!

I think Jack Vidgeon's song was meant to be an Adam Lambert style but the song was in the wrong key for him.
