I just got back from North Carolina a few days ago, back to where I lived before our move to Nashville thirteen years ago. I enjoyed the slightly cooler temperatures(only the upper 80's/lower 90's rather than mid 90's), my first road trip without my parents along(which made it a four hour drive rather than an eight and a half hour one), and seeing my best friend from childhood, who is still basically my personality twin. I had a blast, in part helped because I finally got in my new MP3 player the morning I left and could play music without having to mess with the static-y radio over and over. Now I get to go to Indianapolis this weekend and have three weeks of nothing but that to do until my fall term of school starts. I don't have a studio to hide from the heat in, so I'll settle for my room, or the little clubs down in Nashville when I can make it up there!
