Hey hey heyyy!! (And hey, again!) How are you? You have been to Norway? Aaaah.. I'm pleased you had a good time. Norway seems absolutely beautiful. (No, I will NOT ask about Morten Harket, mhhhmhhhh, noooooo...) I would love to visit Norway one day, for sure. My summer: it has been okay, thanks! Hot weather, some tennis, etc... Have yet to travel, but.. *crossing fingers extremely hard indeed* (It will happen, belieeeve.. :) ) Music-wise: I enjoyed the new PSB album (though also like/d their previous album) too. I had a bit of a This Mortal Coil binge last week and this week I've been going through some Madonna albums on Spotify (through curiosity, really) (I'm in 1995 right now) (so I will see you in 18 years ;) ). Hope you are well and everything is well! *hugs to Schweiz*

*gentle wave* Hello! How are you? Thank you for your kind TF message (I was a little worked up there: I mustn't think of that man again! *breathes* ). TF wouldn't let me return your message.. I really enjoyed Wimbledon, thanks! How about you? I thought the women's final (women's tournament, really) was refreshing (I'm sorry about the injuries though): I cried with Marion and Sabine yesterday... The men's tournament was also notable. The media will go absolutely Murray-mad but all credit to him: he rose to the occasion and I think he is a good guy. Good tournament for Switzerland with Belinda Bencic winning as well.. :) (She looks like a very real prospect) Hope you are enjoying the summer (whaa, it is summer already?!) :)

*smiling like Dr. Gianluca* ;) Hello! Thank you for the message (I do not know if I have expertise: scowling at some of the judging and jumping around like a madwoman to "Alcohol is Free" perhaps does not qualify me so much.. ;) ). I'm sorry Switzerland did not qualify for Eurovision final. (Respect to the 95 year old gentleman on the double bass!) (95!!) (And Lys Assia: 89 and just out of hospital!) (Citizens of Switzerland, I salute you...) Love to Tim and love to everyone...

Hello hello... *clears throat* (Okay, maybe you can guess what's coming ;) ) It is Eurovision week, aaand... Good luck to Switzerland, and to your favourite songs! (I drank lots of Vanilla Coke and ate sweets in front of the show last night: I think the sugar will stay in my system until next year!) I hope you are well and all is well and send my very best wishes from the Welsh jury, err, also known as me... ;)

Oh wow, I didn't realise it had been that long! Well, I have since gotten a new laptop and haven't yet bothered to download the last fm scrobbler. Very lazy, I know. I suppose my listening habits have changed too. I listen to most of my music either in the car or on my headphones these days. Rarely on my laptop anymore. There was a period a month or so ago when I wasn't even listeing to music at all, but thankfully that madness has passed. Perhaps I'll come back to scrobbling one day, who knows :)

Heh, that Estonian song finished in third place in their national final. (I return to that video at times, like a wide-eyed child, full of curiosity... :) ) The Estonian Eurovision selection is arguably (surely?) the most 'alternative' of the national selections: I can totally recommend it! (And it kick-started my interest in Estonian music and the country itself) (Having said that, though, the song that won is nothing that alternative at all: it's a very sweet ballad) Thank you for the recommendation: I will ch-ch-check it out!! (Spotify is one of the most amazing creations everrrr!!) Have the most wonderful day! :)

Gooooood morning!! Heh, yes, I guess I have a little bit of ESC fever again (but it's not too strong right now: I'm not that enamoured with most of the songs this year. Maybe I have some "burnout" ;) - I don't know...). My favourites? Hmm, Lithuania is quite interesting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG9RipaLIvs (I think it has faint echoes of Joy Division in the melody) and I quite like Slovenia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMa3V0zqksE (it reminds me somewhat of some of the dance songs I used to like growing up) (not that there was dubstep around in those days, errr...). Oh, and my beloved Estonian national final came up with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dllo85ZSUk (if you are feeling at all tired this Monday, THIS will wake you up... ;) ). Schönen Tag noch! (And thank you for your kind as always words!) *eurohug*

Hello! I hope that you are well and all is well... (And apologise for my horrible German in that earlier message!) UK has (internally) selected our Eurovision entrant: step forward, Bonnie Tyler! Are you familiar with Bonnie at all? Will she have any support in Switzerland? ;) (Last year we had Engelbert Humperdinck and that didn't go too well...) (I LOVE "Total Eclipse of the Heart") I see that Switzerland is sending a Salvation Army song to Eurovision. Good luck as always, CH!

;) I may be resting my head, but my ears... Anything but!! Thank you so much again. I'm enjoying the music and really appreciating hearing music that is new to me. (Just finished the Gossip song: it reminds me of an early '90s dance music production... Which is a compliment from me, as I LOVE the Italo etc sound) My new name: heh, yes... It's only now becoming official (I've used it unofficially for about a month). I didn't like my previous surname too much anyway, sooo... And again, please please let me know if I can do anything in return for you (thank you for the card as well) (The xx sounds like music from David Lynch movies) :) *hugs*

*adopts Azarenka/Sharapova/Serena-like screech* (Okay, perhaps that isn't the preferred way to make the entrance; Slam or no Slam ;) ) Hello! How are you? I am okay, thanks... Japan: wonderful wonderful music. That band had the look, they had the songs ("Ghosts" is my favourite: I really think it's one of my all-time favourite songs), they had so much... I meant to ask you about Twitter (aka "Fiona's Second Online Home" ;) ). It took me a while to work out what was happening with that site. It's really addictive at times (I mustn't use it too much). It would be nice to converse with you on Twitter but I'm happy we can converse on this site (and TF). Thank you very much again for the CD: I look forward to receiving it! Schönen Tag noch!

Hellooooo again!! Thanking you for your most kind message, dear Beat! I am pleased to hear that you had a happy festive time! Here there was (way) too much food, (way) too much wine, (way) too much rain (Santa didn't send the snow here for sure) and some good music too (but not good singing from me of course ;) ). Sending love to you and your family! xx (I would love a compilation: thank you! But I must insist upon doing something in return...)

Buon pomeriggio! E come STAI, Signor Beat? Sono non c'e male! ;) Aah, thank you (grazie mille!) for the Peter Heppner link! I liked the song (it reminded me of another song which may come to me later this evening) - it was really good to hear Mr. Heppner's voice. I loved Wolfsheim very much at one time: I guess love never dies (isn't that the title of a Wolfsheim song?) (I'm confusing it with the title of an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical? Aargh ;) *babbles* ). You are very welcome (re TF message!). Hugs from Wales x

Helloooooo!! [/bold, italic, underline, enormous letters etc] ;) How are you? Thank you for your kind message and music recommendation! I am okay, thanks! (Well, somewhat okay... I lost my job last month and am trying to work out what to do/where to go with my life. Is there any work in Switzerland; would Mr. Federer like a new PR woman, do you think? ;) ) Estonian music, aaaah!! Some Estonian acts/songs I really like can be found here, here (I really like this singer), here (classic sound from 1980s!) and here !! Best wishes to you and those dear to you from a dark and rainy Wales! (Maybe I won't get a job with Welsh Tourist Board *ahem* )

Haha, yes I don't think I've shouted (or been shouted out) in about a year now :( I was listening to both of those artists way back 10+ years ago, so thought I'd give them a go. Don't like Nelly's new album though, but No Doubt's is 'okay' I guess. I'll always have a soft spot for No Doubt. Can't be helped ;)

*whispers* Hello... (Ehh, enough of this whispering already...) HELLO! How are you? :) Long time no speak, or shout, or whatever the terminology is for this website... I hope that you are well and that everything is well! Summer has gone here (not that there was too much summer: lots of rain). Music: I am obsessed with Estonian music. (The new Pet Shop Boys album is also a highlight) Tennis: Murrrrray!! (I wasn't a fan at one point but now I am very happy for him!) Hope you have been enjoying music/tennis etc too. :)

Hello hello again!! Thank you for your 12 point (Eurovision fever already ;) ) message! Aah, I am going to sulk like crazy if Hungary doesn't make it through that semi-final (have you HEARD some of the other songs in that semi-final?! I mean, ?!?!!!!! Aaargh...). I naturally wish Switzerland the very best: I remember Britain gave Switzerland 10 points in Eurovision last year! I miss TV sometimes but Internet makes it much easier these days... Hmm, I'll have to check for Tindersticks on Spotify... :)

Beat!! It's really good to hear from you :) - how are you? Can it be MAY yes MAY (yes MAY?) already? I was a huge Anke Huber fan: she was my favourite for many years... I don't really watch tennis these days: I don't have a TV right now! I miss tennis (I will one day bore you with tennis talk again... ;) I hope your favourites are doing well!). Eurovision!! My favourite this year, dear Beat, is from Hungary *drum rolls* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5fUcVih9eE My beloved Estonia had some really good songs in their national final again like this and this Britain is sending Engelbert Humperdinck (it's quite a charming song, actually). Aaaah *babbles*

yeah. you give it a try definitely. the two singles with Mt. Sims are really good. what do you think of Biophilia? many people find it disappointing. i don't! :) i'm so glad Bjork's done with Volta (or: earning some money) era. and she hired Leila again as the programmer, which is great since Leila and Bjork do seem as compatible collaborators...

well, i really thought of Leila as an artist that could never disappoint. but this new album is a huge disappointment. it isn't a bad album either. there are a few great tracks (especially singles). but it's nothing like the first 3 albums. which are brilliant! i saw your comments on Fever Ray's singles. couldn't agree more... :)

Hey ya!! :) Thank you for your nice message! How are you? Things are okay here thanks (well, there have been some quite difficult times but all is okay...) (I'm eating chocolate and causing this poor laptop to wish for another owner or something ;) ). Aah, yes, of course, Swiss Double! I really think that may be one of my favourite songs of all time. Perhaps I should go on YouTube (or Spotify?) and investigate some other Double songs one day...

Anna hört die gerne und finde das eine oder andere auch ganz nett und manchmal singen wir zusammen "you and i". Was ich sonst noch im Moment so höre: the Low Anthem (Charlie Darwin) und the Black Keys und gestern, bei einem Kurztrip nach Zürich, habe ich mir noch die CD von Bianca Story gekauft. Gruass Leo
