I found your charts through cheer-accidents page, and due to your high play count of Salad Days made it my next purchase by them. Definitely some great music, although the second Graphic Depression is amusingly odd. But reading your shoutbox, I have to ask- are you Kayo Dots drummer? XD because that would more than quadruple your coolness you already had for listening to cheer-accident, Cardiacs, and King Crimson.

I checked out Cheer-Accident because of you. It's mind-blowingly awesome.

Will do... Coyote is probably my favorite Kayo Dot record. Aww what the hell, one compliment can't do much harm: the drumming on Whisper Ineffable blows my mind every time. Just don't let it get to your head alright.

Haha no! I wish I had known about KC being in Florida. I would have killed. And I thought I was looking at my profile for a little bit when I saw that "Fingerbib" and "The Manifold Curiosity" were in my top tracks but it's yours. Major props!

The Manifold Curiosity is a wonderful song. The ending is phenomenal and the violins have to be my favorite part of the song. Also, What was it like to join one of your favorite bands? I think I would probably collapse on spot if I was able to join a band I like.

A bit slow in the reply, but: I figured as much. Must be pretty disheartening for artists who want to do more experimental/less commercial music. Glad some of you manage to keep at it anyway. On another note, the mentioning of Henry Cow in this shoutbox makes me want to check out Cheer-Accident. Any album to recommend for starters?

Ohh well I'm not going to lie, I saw it earlier on your profile and decided to give it a try :). I'm surprised with it, specially considering their Henry Cow influence (and me being a big fan of them), it was really, really good, and they have plenty of material for me to explore. I guess that's something else I should be thankful for!

By the way, if you don't mind me asking: you noted that several of the Kayo Dot members are unemployed, does that mean you actually don't have a job outside gigging? Here in Norway, most of the heavily touring musicians are self-employed and get by on a combination of teaching (either as a part-time job or privately), gigging, and various support funds for arts, but the economic situation might be more difficult in the US than here...
