this is super creepy probably haha, but i was at the wintersleep show in london on saturday and it's really bothering me. i know they played drunk on aluminum first, and they played astronaut and dead letter and the infinite yes, but WHAT song did they play between those? if you rememeber, that is. i just went to someone random on who appeared to attend the show, im sorry if this mega creeps you out haha.

I hope so! Although I have seen Yo La Tengo live before, and Georgia was so grumpy-looking the whole time that it put a slight damper on the awesome, awesome extended jams. Annnd, I got a press pass for the whole festival. Cue immense terror..... now!

it definitely has pretty much zero replay value. but the no hook/owl, knockin' doors down/hyrule field, i used to love her/market ones really did it for me the first time around at least. though, admittedly, more than anything it just made me want to play ocarina of time again.

i get embarrassed whenever he sings there's no iiiii in threeeesome! and for various other lines as well. but other than the occasional wince-worthy lyric (which is to be expected by now i guess), it's pretty enjoyable, yeah.

these are the benefits of randomly browsing oink at 2 am and jumping on <192kbps rips before they get taken down. i like it more than i expected to!

thoughts on their set: i think the album is only 'decent' but liked them a lot more live. they played for a loooong time (like, maybe too long) but that could've been because there was no opener here. and if you're digging me, that's not a negative. i was just really tired and so the last few songs dragged a little. they did a nice cover of between the bars as well. worth seeing!
