Sorry I didn't reply for a while. Been busy with exams and stuff. I've got the first volume of X-Kai but I haven't read it yet. :P --- The third season of Vampire Knight will probably come out after the mangaka has written enough to fill the content of the anime :D Don't know how long that will take though. --- Yen press are an awesome publishing company they release the Higurashi manga! Suprisingly enough there is an anime of Sunshine Sketch called Hidamari Sketch (Hidamari means Sunshine in Japanese) I've seen the anime it's really funny.

I watched Lucky Star this time last year! It was quite good at calming me down after a day of revision though. You seem to highly recommend Nana, I'll bump it up my 'want to watch' list! --- Saki is slightly easier to understand if you look up the rules of mah-jong, but I've not really had a problem with it so far. --- I read a few manga, online I read Kaiji and Kuro Shitsuji but I tend to buy a lot I've read RG Veda, Chobits, Dragonball, Sengoku Nights, Gorgeous Carat, Death Note and Tokyo Babylon. I'm currently reading Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge and Vampire Knight. I've got other manga but I can't seem to remember them! I read yaoi too but I suppose you might not be too interested in that :p

Sengoku BASARA is based on a video game about the 'Warring States" period of Japan, that's why everyone has crazy powers. Saki is quite good, I'll definitely carry on watching it, it made me want to purchase a set of mah-jong tiles! Nana is pretty epic though like 30+ episodes or something? I'll get round to watching it. The only live action anime/manga adaptations I've seen are Mushishi and Death Note 1. I have so many things I want to watch... Genshiken and Welcome to the NHK are in that list too. >.< There will always be more anime to watch than time to watch it in!

Cool, you have a good taste in anime! It looks like you've picked up a lot of stuff from this season too. I'm enjoying Sengoku BASARA a lot at the moment but I'm a bit behind on the other things I'm watching. I didn't pick up Eden of the East but I may watch it after the series has ended. Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is hilarious, I got really confused in episode 2 though I think there were two different sets of subtitles. It was mad. Anime World Order really is the best one I've heard. I tried to listen to Anime Pulse, the content was good but their voices irritated me :S I listen to "Dave and Joel's Fast Karate for the Gentleman." sometimes they talk about anime, but they often get distracted and segue into different topics (often to hilarious effect) and a good portion of their podcast is about the tv series 24.... Our music compatibility is high. ^_^

haha weird that something like that can pass for a subject, i've never heard of anything like it.. languages, well i have the basics of latin and i'm relatively good at spanish. english and german are my mother tongue(s), which is totally awesome :P what about you?

i have no idea what an IB is, but no, it's this really dumb final exam that is basically only valid in austria and exists no-where else (i believe), called "matura". it's divided into a written part (that's this week) and an oral part (which is in like a month) and yeah.. it sucks. what's general studies? and how does an ART final go down?? oh, listening to music is the awesomest thing ever during a test.. i always feel like i can work a lot better that way :) during german yesterday i was allowed to use my ipod, today in englisch i wasn't :/

funny coincidence; i'm studying for the (austrian equivilant of) a-levels right now too, haha. tomorrow it all kicks off with german, yay, then a whole wonderful week of exams :D

i think i could send you that one if you want.. for me, the best thing about turn on the bright lights is the second half of "the new", where it goes all instrumental and post-rockish, gosh.. :) listened into e*vax, and it's pretty cool! not at all what i expected from one half of ratatat, but totally rich and relaxing..

yeah, totally loungy, which is an awful shame, cause i think they had a really good sound on dreams :( oh and to answer your question from two shouts back, no i've never heard of evax, what're they like? anything ratatat-esque is obviously cool with me XD albums that never get old? that's another tough one.. i don't know if this'll help you out in any way, but for me that would probably be of montreal's "hissing fauna, are you the destroyer?" (for some reason), "all is violent, all is bright" by god is an astronaut, and "turn on the bright lights" by interpol. but right now i'm crazy about margot and nuclear so & so's ("the dust of retreat" is so fantastic, can't tell though yet if i'll get tired of it ^^)

rules was a bit of a disappointment for me, because it goes more into the direction of "above you", i.e. the more jazzy-upbeat stuff, which i always thought wasn't as good as their more melancholy tracks such as "burning" or "inflation".. if you do however want to listen into it, i'd say go for "high on the heels" - i actually quite liked that one. so what's your opinion on 65dos? oh and gnomesofdreams: hey, "skullflower" and "horses in the sky" are equally awesome :P (you have fantastic taste in music btw)

No problem! And definitely check out My Horse Must Lose. It's kind of a shame that it's the best song on that album because it makes me neglect the rest of them, but it's so effing good.

why, thank you! hmm, recommending. this is surprisingly hard.. i definitely agree with gnomesofdreams on "it's complicated being a wizard" by portugal. the man - that ep is incredible. if you're into progressive, you could also try the sound of animals fighting (check out the song "my horse must lose"), as for experimental i'd say you can never listen to too much 65daysofstatic :) (key album is "one time for all time" imo) if you're into apparat, then check out ellen allien, bodi bill and sascha funke. yay for german minimal techno! also, the song "couleurs" by m83 is a semi-religious experience (you probably already know it, but hey). cheers!

Zion, The Mountain Goats, Portugal. The Man (I'd suggest the "It's Complicated Being a Wizard EP and Church Mouth)...just to name a few.
