Also, Birds and Buildings are a definite highlight - they have two albums out so far, both are worth checking out.

Yes, well, there are a lot of misconceptions surrounding the band. If you mean modern prog, then I'm not too keen on it. I don't like most of the "monster" bands in the genre of the last two decades. My firm favorite in the current prog scene is Beardfish, here's a couple of things by them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-euq4DsMIA, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZEW5_iVIz4. One of the few bands today (at least in prog) where you feel that they're really doing music for the fun of it. And nice lyrics, which is always a rarity. If you like them, check out the albums "Destined Solitaire" or "Mammoth", I think that's the best place to start.

Yeah, First Families are filled with kinksters. The Carters got off on shoving raw peanuts up their noses. The Bushes, well, what's in a name? In their case, everything.

I always suspected that the Reagans were huge Edward Weston fans. http://www.brianappelart.com/images/articles/100720-spring-2010-new-york-photo/385-N08624-Weston-Civilian-Defense.jpg

The failure of book three which that formerly ten-year old girl thought would be her magnum opus lead her to abandon writing. The identity crisis resulting from no longer being a "gentlewoman of letters" lead her find new purpose from what she perceived as the only postive thing left in her life, the Sudanese Silver Rifle. Mistaking the ability to chose accurate words to describe the physical appearance of animals for actual knowledge of animals, she took up animal husbandry and restyled herself into a "gentlewoman farmer." Tragically, her entire herd of North African ewes quickly succumbed to what the police report listed as "morbid constipation with secondary alcohol poisoning" due to her erroneous belief that North African ewes can subsist on gruyère and champagne. The farm reeked for weeks.

That childish attempt at writing which is her autobiography may have been her best seller but she went on to write a series known as the Bunny books. Her protagonist "Bunny" is a thinly veiled version of herself. The first book in the series, "Brew Bunny, Brew!" introduces our hero and documentents the ennui of her life as young housewife who dreams of being a burlesque fan dancer. The next in the series, "Bunny Bumps Beelzebub" follows Bunny and her new acquaintance Beelzebub (a character based on LaVey) as they continuously travel westward around the planet in an attempt to turn back time and place Bunny on a vaudeville stage so she can fulfill her fan dancing dream. The series is considered a masterpiece in fiction writing since it is written entirely in the present perfect tense.

Surprisingly LaVey was literally a teetotaler. Darjeeling, Longjing, Earl Grey, he couldn't get enough of the stuff and excluded all other beverages. He went so far as to insist that cookies be called "biscuits" in his presence. Before his death he had learned to knit in the hope of creating his own line of teapot cozies.

I know exactly who you're talking about because she carried that Aphex Twin record around all the time. It was a treasured possession because Aleister Crowley had used it for a coaster and left a coffee cup ring on the cover. Her name is Sharon or Astrid or Quetzalcoatl, I'm not sure but it was some name with an "A" in it. She and I used to hang out at the salt lick all the time.

No offense taken, it's very true. I'm not looking for sympathy, nor do I indulge myself in thinking of what I should have done constantly. Les Fleurs du Mal is Baudelaire's most famous work, it's a collection of poems that centers around six distinct themes, many that were pretty controversial at times. Pretty light read, taking my time with it since I haven't had the chance to read too frequently recently. Do you read poetry? Someone recommended Vernon God Little to me before, how is it?

Haha, I'm pretty jealous. Electrical engineering is one of the many subjects I was pondering on majoring in, and I regretted not choosing it for a while. I probably wouldn't have been able to stick with it, however, if I did choose to go into that field. I wish I could multiply myself, there are so many things I want to do. I'm currently reading Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal. A friend was making me read Fifty Shades of Gray, but the writing style wasn't my thing so I gave up on that. I probably would've been pissed off by their negative portrayal of BDSM culture anyway. How about you?

Well, I do love women as well, so that might contribute to my added appreciation for their hair. Though there are others who cherish them, I can adore my own hair as well. If you ever do come meadow hopping with me, I can help make yours hospitable and adorn it with hollyhocks and poppies.

More like music for in between the sheets and warmth of a woman's hair. Meadow hopping is always a great pastime, as long as you can find the right meadow.

Thank you :-) I would not assimilate a common sense cultural image to you only by knowing where you're from. Most of the people normally go this way, but I'm one of those who belive that the many assemblies of a culture never come across one direction-one perception-one single story. I have the external impression that India is a giant place that cannot be assorted, it's a country very diversified in many spheres. Would you recommend me a band similar to Philip Glass or Julia Kent (the ones Lastfm is telling we like in common)? And would you tell me about the best song you heard today? If you don't want to, I'll understand!
