yeah it kinda was important, but i passed, so it doesn't matter any more. all's well that end's well. i planned to get home before midnight yesterday, just a typical thursday night out, but the night turned out to be really fun, so the idea of doing my english homework and listening to the knife's new album quickly turned into getting home 6am and skipping school today. people only buy me drinks when i don't even plan to get drunk. i should watch always sunny, i never have, but i've heard it's good. i can't wait for the new arrested developement episodes though, that's all tv i will need for some time. it's funny that's it's already a friday night for you. it started snowing again. spring gave up and my research paper is due monday and i just got tickets to tallinn music week tomorrow. i don't even live in tallinn. oh well i suppose my friday night is occupied with international criminal court and rules for academic writing then

you know there's this saying that no one is really interested in other people's dreams, but i must say you proved that saying wrong. i used to have very vivid and weird dreams, but for the past few months i have hardly had any dreams at all. maybe i haven't had enough sleep to drift into this weird dreamphase. damn pelicans. i have no weird dreams but the strangest thing happened to me today at school, i got back this really important test and it turns out that i completely missed one page and just didn't fill in 1/3 of the test. and i passed with it 1 point. i don't know whether it shows that i'm smart or really dumb.

and i didn't know about pushinka romance. i missed that part during pre-school. thank you for helping me procrastinate with my research paper once again! once when i'm poor and unemploed i'll let you buy me a beer. i've never not had friends knowing my lastfm, but i was ashamed about some stuff a few years ago, but now i don't really care. life's too much fun with pop music. i go this music quiz thing every week and some weeks ago they asked billy joel. i didn't even know i'd recognize him, but i did. at least you don't listen to meatloaf. i tried to listen to bat out of hell just for fun but man was it epic. that part about buckets reminds me a song by [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WMjwlRhjGY]the radio dept.[/url]

i used to have a different username, but it was a silly name. not that this one would be particulary sharp either. i really likes the drones, getting the album as we speak. reminded me of nick cave and liars, did not expect that sound. laika, belka & strelka were those 3 soviet space dogs. i used to read a lot about them when i was a kid, because it was kind of my two main pre-school interests overlapped: dogs and space. at least belka & strelka had a happier flight. my music taste has been going on a nostalgic route which ended up with me listening to post-hardcore and pop-punk and all of the stuff that were the reason of my new lastfm account. probably my deep indie friends are going to desert me, esp. if to add the fact that the new justin timberlake album is damn good and the last song is 8 minutes of pure ambient bliss. never understood the pop music hate. but thanks for the drones, will def help my reputation. there's still no spring here, only minus degrees and snow. oh well

you can be all witty when it's 1111! i used to have like 2000 shouts but i deleted them all and only left a few of the witty ones. you have to avoid a really annoying chore to have the patience to delete 2000 shouts. oh i forgot you live in the southern hemisphere for a second. i like autumn. i like spring and autumn the most i think. there's beauty in those in-between times. and you can also wear the best clothes, by which i mean a leather jacket. now i sound like a badass rebel who rides a motorbike. which is sadly not true.

you're damn right! sorry i forgot to reply. did you like actual air? i've been thinking about ordering it for a year now but for some reason i still haven't. i also have a habit to push my time limits as far as possible so i have to go to school all hungry and with uncombed hair. but lately it's been better because the days are long again and the sun rises before i have to get up and i don't have proper curtains and my room's at the eastside of the building. so that's a good natural way to get up although i won't get sleep even if i want to. but then i have to go to bed earlier, which is also a good thing. i don't even drink coffee. i did for two weeks when school started at 8am, but i'm just not a coffee person. i like to drink my tea alone. not very social, i know!

during the first backlash i have thoughts in the morning that go something like this "hmm this lecture is really boring, he just basically repeats the book, i can just read it myself and actually i feel kinda sick, so yes let's surf the great interweb for 3 hours on a row!". and home assignments are accompanied by thoughts like "do i really need to read this, oh my flowers need watering, i better do that now!". that probably makes me sound like a useless slacker, which may or may not be close to the truth. i haven't really used spotify, i tried rdio for free, which is basically the same thing, but they had some very basic stuff missing and i like to organize my itunes library etc. how does an one man strike look like and how is it different from one man just being unemployed?

i think there are some crazy PETA activists that have made it possible for leather couch avoiders such as you to find the best way to make your way in this crazy world. i know no one who would like to sleep on a leather couch tbh. the good thing about europe is that almost everyone speaks english. at least in estonia. we don't even quite consider it as a normal foreign language anymore. the thing with those metalheads is that i know them a bit and i just wouldn't imagine us happily drinking tea in my kitchen. and they laugh like unpleasant people. some people just do. my motivation is nearing its first backlash, as now i have to actually so stuff other than some basic exercises for english and french lessons. god damn and i just got comfortable listening to 6 new albums every day and watching the wire (some us unis even give lectures on it, so it shouldn't be completely useless. but then again... what don't the schools in the states teach)

i've survived couchsurfing myself. if you do some research, you should survive just nicely + meet cool people. i've mostly travelled with my mom, so it's always top tourist sights, hotels and no surprises and i'd like to see more backgardens and locals favourite bars and the cities as they really are. 2nd week of school and i'm still motivated, must be a personal record of some sorts! my problems with sleep have a lot to do with a bad metal band living upstairs and doing their best metallica impressions at 4 am tuesday. true story.

yeah, i can imagine, at least when you're in europe and have no money and still want to travel you can at least hitchhike. and use couchsurfing if you don't have money for a hotel. but in australia you have to get off the island at least. of course you still need money for hitchhiking and it's not for everyone but it's at least an option. school started again for me this week, but it's not that bad. it's always like that on the first week of the semester when you're like "yes, now i'm going to get my shit together and everything's actually interesting". but that kind of feeling has a sad habit to disappear

oh the pavement have really honoured perth. no pavement gems about estonia though. depends on what you define as a "worthwhile visit". have you been to europe? tallinn has this nice famous medieval old town and the coastline is beautiful. and we have those pure big forests if you're into these kind of things. but the weather can be horrible, autumn and winter seem neverending and if it's a rainy and cold summer too, i really think of emigrating to someplace with a decent climate. but i guess the feeling of a first warm spring day really makes up for those cold dark months. but yeah, we don't have that much to offer as a tourist trap but if you're travelling through northern europe, definitely make a stop here. i've never been to australia. i've never been out of europe, which can be kinda sad to think about. 20 years and one continent. there must be more to the world

in which city do you live in australia? if it is a city, maybe you just roam around the great desert in the middle. luckily, my flatmate who studies psychology, is one of the most normal people i've ever met. and i mean that as a compliment. no one should mess with other people's mental health unless their own is in a good state. i probably could never get a phd either. i could never even work at a orange juice factory, i'd be fired, because i can't concentrate. and that's not even my own joke. is australia that expensive? many young estonians travel to australia after high school or later when they feel that life here isn't working out and get a one year job visa to travel, party and do different jobs here and there. although usually we don't send our best out there, it's mostly the most annoying people i ever met at school. and their facebook seems to show that australia is filled with alcohol, pot and pool parties. living the life i assume

subway! you're being overly optimistic about estonia's infrastructure! we have no subways, although subway, the fast food chain plans to open their first restaurant in estonia sometime soon. my flatmate studies psychology, we won't need two of these in the same apartment. do people hate psychologists? i didn't even know that. i thought people hated lawyers. we even had to read an article for school titled "why do people hate lawyers?" turns out that mainly because you have to deal with them when you're in a bad situation and they're almost always smarter and richer than you. i'm also the same as you, i'm always better at theory than in practice, but lately i've felt this urge to go out and DO something and getting a job seems a good option. you get almost only theory in university here, and that's of no use when you actually want to find a job. being an academic would be nice. i've always thought that maybe i'll get a phd. having a phd is probably a good icebreaker at the parties.

oh those ottomans! there have been all kinds of times. i just discovered that our independence day happens to be on a sunday this year, so what's the use of independence at all then. our great grandfathers didn't die for this. everyone are always impressed about law studies but i like to quote reese witherspoon in one of the best law movies of all times - "legally blonde" - "harvard law? is it like hard to get in?". but i'm generally interested in everything and it seemed like a slightly more reasonable choice than ethnology. at least it still has something to with people. observe them and take notes. that would be my dream job. and sometimes i get all those big ideas about human rights and bringing justice to the world and all those good causes. but it's probably just gonna be paperwork and no one should do paperwork for paperwork's sake. what's your draft exactly? what do you want to study now? and i'm afraid the working life is overrated indeed

oh, the cars with national flags are really familiar to me, we have this midsummer eve/victory day in june (it's technically just an excuse to have a parade in june also, but we once won a battle in 1919 so that's a victory) and then some people think it's a good idea to have as much as 4 estonian flags on their cars. oh yes we sadly took a lot of the customs from germans. we didn't have much choice though. mysteriously lingering sauerkraut does sound like a possible food poisoning case to be honest. i wouldn't open that cupboard if i were you. i study law, no i do not know if i want to be a lawyer. i'm probably gonna end up serving fries and writing articles to newspaper on the topic of unemployed youth. it's a trendy topic out here! where do you work? it should be something to do with fixing surfboards.
