I listened to her collaborations, pretty good! Nice to hear something different.. but still with her voice/influence. I'll let you know if I can find anything like her! Actually, I do have one.. The Smashing Pumpkins album Adore is mainly quietish piano/vocal music like hers. It's definitely still different but same style. That's good! I'm just happy she's just still putting out amazing music I guess, haha. So you seem like you listen to a lot of interesting music, who would you recommend if I was looking for music similar to hers?

No, I know what you mean.. This is probably the most depressed sounding album she has. Even Geek the Girl had some more positive songs like Cancer and Stars (still dark lyrics, but the music is energetic and rhythmic). On this album, there is only the last track Strange Bird which has that element of hope which you mentioned (maybe that's why it's the last track?). I've listened to the album a lot now, and there's only maybe 3 songs I don't like. I find the depressed vibe, especially in the lyrics, pretty relatable to my life right now. It's very relaxing to listen to. I hope it grows on you!

I just got it yesterday so I haven't really gotten an opinion yet... It's interesting that she's combining simple piano music (which I love) with some new sort of progressive sounds. Haunted is a really powerful song. The album kind of reminds me of Geek the Girl right now, which wasn't my favorite. BUT I still need to listen to it more!
