Loved you comment on "In Search of the Grail" by Trevor Jones. I feel exactly the same about this beautiful piece of music... :)

I only listened to Vinland Saga once, years ago and can't remember liking it much (otherwise I would have looked into further). Will revisit it and see how I like it now :) The only pre-Meredead songs by them I can think of are "Norwegian Lovesong" (which I like) and "Scarborough Fair" (though this one is a traditional tune, as far as I understand?). Re WT, I noticed that in some instances Liv sounds like Sharon.

Hi from Poland. I can see that you've recently been giving a spin to the same albums I did, namely Epica and Xandria. How do you like them? I must say I definitely like TQE even though it's basically nothing new. As for Sacrificium, I didn't find it as interesting at first spin. Maybe it'll grow on me later. Oh, and Finnish bands rock :)

Yeah, exactly; it sort of feels like reading a good story, you can really get involved in it. :-)

Wow, that sounds awesome, I'll make sure to check them out :-) I absolutely adore all music that has this epic feeling of adventure/fantasy/exploring to it, I kinda feel like... well, like it speaks to me, for the lack of a better term (sounds a bit cheesy, I know)

Oh, yeah, no problem! :) Lately, I've been a bit neglectful when it comes to checking my inbox, so thanks for noting that xD Anyway, that's an awesome library you got there. I've been meaning to listen to some of Diabulus in Musica's stuff - are they any good? :)

Hi ARAVIS ! Hope you're well! I write because recently launched with my band ETERNUS from Chile, our first album "Labyrinth of Reason". We play symphonic metal, with influences of power metal, etc., and with influences from bands like Nightwish, Sabaton, Epica, etc.. We differ from other bands of the genre, because we have an opera singer man, who gives a special and different sound. Hopefully you can hear us on our official Facebook www.facebook.com/eternusband (Grant us one Like please, u can download free our album). Sample song: "Nemesis of the Gods" - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydKOXy1TlTM ! Thank you very much for reading this, we are just beginning and need maximum support, every aid helps very much. Have a nice day, greetings from Chile.

Very nice profile :) I can agree with these parts: "obsession is female-fronted symphonic metal" (i like also female-fronted gothic metal and progressive metal bands), "Besides symphonic, I like progressive, gothic", "but I honestly cannot tolerate rap or black metal. They make me cry and run in fear".

Hmmmmmmmm.....thats tough.I want to say-----Lacuna Coil aren't really symphonic metal, so I'd say it was perhaps Leaves Eyes if I'm not mistaken or Nightwish.

Haha by the way your saying how people in the US don't know of all these amazing symphonic metal bands of Europe.....well you couldn't be more right:D Its like only certain music is popular in America, like auto tuned pop and rap it seems. It really makes me roll my eyes in exasperation as well, I went to an Evanescence concert two years past and the lady next to me didn't even know Nightwish, I found out during our conversation. What to do, huh? And I agree Finland has some great bands of this genre, and so does Holland in fact, shame what Americans miss out on.

Hello dear and thanks so much for your request! I see also by reading your profile that we share the same ideas as well and music taste overall too! Thats a bonus! I also love classical music have a GREAT respect for the opera and compositions, hate when people don't respect it as well or dismiss it as boring. I can't stand religious nutjobs either:DD Religion in general really, even though I went to Catholic school for eight years of my early school life I couldn't be further from one, really. I see that you love poetry! Another bonus, I am myself am an aspiring writer I absolutely love writing poems and stories. Thank you for your compliments on my profile, I haven't done anything with it in ages, so I just left it the way it is currently. I am always excited to talk to new people on lastfm, so I hope we keep in touch;)

Hi :) It's a good EP. My favorite so far is actually Let Us Burn, simply because I like its composition the most. Dog Days is the weakest, yes. I hope the counting isn't in the final song. I haven't had much interest in WT at all (even the older stuff) in a long time, but sometimes I give them a listen and yeah, old favorites have something that isn't there any more. Looking at my charts, my favorites are all capable of strongly affecting me emotionally, whereas the newer stuff doesn't so much, so I think that's the biggest thing I'm missing. And I can relate strongly to lyrics like Stand My Ground, Jillian, and Memories, whereas I've never liked the story behind The Unforgiving, and I'm not finding anything I love in what I've made out of the lyrics on this EP either. It's rare for a song's music and lyrics to really work together for me, though, so my wanting any band to keep doing that like they used to may be too much to ask. I just try to enjoy whatever they do. :)

It really works ;-) Some days before my question I have seen a guy with a real dragon on his cheek, but he seemed to been older than you ...
