Why did I call Behind a Serrated Grin clever? It plays on a lot of cultural rules. “maimed savior” that must be Jesus. Very straightforward reference. “One solution to start from a clean slate” that could be referring to judgement day. Until “He doesn't say that he will save us” Hey what?! Then I as a listener get challenge/provoked: He really doesn’t?! That statement put things up-side down and puts a new meaning to the previous line, so it becomes more urgent. Switching to Latin the rhythm adds an extra beat which adds emphasis and seems to add speed without actually speeding up. There is a nice melody in the Latin part. I listened on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPDerlTAVcY&feature=related with the picture that could easily be seen as Jesus smoking on the cross. Don’t know how official that is, but it fits well.

No, we are at round 23 and there are 11 people between me and championship. So mecha_one will likely win. The broadening of my knowledge does not matter as long as I am not champion. Actually I got kicked from Not Pointless a few days ago while trying to broaden by knowledge.

That's true...and terrifying thought...every little change may have impact on whole world..that's why i hope they never invent the time-machine. World is fucked up enough even without messing with the past. But who knows..to continue your guess, that J.M. Keenan could've been politician...then maybe George W. Bush could've been banjo-player in some texas hillbilly country-band. (and that's a good thing i suppose). But well...probably the world just would've been even more messed-up than it is now. Technology may change, but somehow it does evolve faster than humans...we are basically the same cave-men, only with bigger and more efficient weapons+with more hunger for money and power.

Yes, it probably was easier in the 60-s. But thankfully we have internet, to help us on our way. :) (And to make it lot more fun than, let's say, waiting for a new Beatles album :d.) Yes, something like that. It's so damn easy to miss good bands and albums nowadays. And as to think of it, how many great bands out there, we never actually hear about. So i try to find as much good stuff as i possibly can..even if it means crawling through "underground", (well...it does:D) :) It's kind of "hunting" actually...:)

Yeah, that's true actually, and i buy records sometimes, but as i don't have lot of money and want to stay in touch with new music, i have to be really picky, what to buy.:) (Btw really lot's of stuff i'm listening to is also free or literally impossible to get. Black metal you know - ltd. to 666, (mostly even less), copies and stuff.

I heard Psyclon Nine from your profile and wanted to hear some more. The music is great. I am not into harsh vocals. Not at all. Actually a large part of my music is instrumental because I want to listen to music and not the content of a song. For a rather large part of alternative rock and metal the lyrics is the variations of the same. That is absolutely not the case with Behind a Serrated Grin. Very clever song. I did not listen very closely to the rest.

Thanks for your time and recommendations, based on myspace, those groups sound good. a7ie having more traditional approach i guess against the Crisis Mode's psychoticness and Helltrash in some point reminds me of Hanzel und Gretyl somehow, (gotta love the band influenced by porn and alcohol and sound like a talented washing machine:D Anyhow, I will definitely check all those groups out properly as soon as possible. It probably includes downloading their albums. I also believe in supporting the artists, but reality is that atm. i have no other choice than downloading. Where i live, (an island), there's no proper record-stores, more like record-corners of some market and pretty much all, one can find from there, is everyday mainstream, classic rock or classical music, for pretty high prices at that. And I better not even start talking about my current financial situation. But i'm a sort of collector and finding new music is became hobby for me, so: blogsearch, here i go again.:)

i like it, and slightly prefer it to the not very different studio version. very calmness, a little melanchloic but not too bombastic. an album i will listen to for a longer time.

I've been listening to the group radios for all the games quite a bit recently in the hope of kicking more people ;-) Boxed Warning came up on there this morning. I particularly liked Angels on Acid which I notice is also in your library.

but for what? to enjoy some bored, unsatisfied people in some industrial countries and keep up nationalism. in my opinion all that work and money is wasted and should better go to support poor people all other the world.

Well...actually i know some more groups or projects, but i always forgot about them.:D And yes, some guidance or recommendations would be nice, if it's not too much trouble...i don't feel myself too confident in finding good industrial/electro/EBM/etc. bands. With metal it's much easier...i can pretty much guess, what to expect, even without sound-samples, just by looking to the band-pics and song-titles. It's probably about that image-thing you mentioned. Different subcultures have different imagery, sign-system and aesthetics, (damn...my english is somewhat inadequate.) Humans are weird species.. Btw, i find those groups which blend the electronics with metal most interesting actually. It sounds more powerful than pure electronics. (I'm not talking about industrial, which is entirely different story)

been really busy...still not in a really good place...my health hasn't been good either... I was at the hospital yesterday (out patient) for more tests on my heart... have a lot of dr appointments coming up too.. march 1st, 3rd, 8th and 22nd so no idea if they will be running more tests too... its really a struggle to talk myself into getting out of bed everyday... I have been back listening about a week or two... hadn't listened to a single song in about 6 months or so... sorta feels a bit weird and wrong to be back in a way... like its me just pretending things are normal lol... how have you been?

At first: thanx for accepting request. You asked which those are?...i guess you mean, what bands in your library i know? (Sry, i've been struggling with a bad headache for last couple of days and i'm not the brightest crayon in the box atm.) But if that's the case, well..as at the moment: from Psyclon Nine to [:SIDT:] and then some, (nothing unknown: Nursery [Rhymez], Combichrist, Hocico, :wumpscut:..stuff like this..:) But i will continue my steps on the electronic/industrial ground, as you've said, that's not a really big move from metal, I guess the main reason that keeps metalheads away from that territory, is prejudice...but in some cases it goes away with time, as it happened to me. And as for projects i mentioned in my previous shout, (zero-project, etc.), they are pretty unknown i guess but fit perfectly, cause i've been reading mostly fantasy-novels lately. But Atrium Carceri is good..haven't listened to A bleeding Star, but will check them out.

Yes i checked your library a bit and must say it's quite impressive, at least what comes to dark electronics (and musical violence.;)) I even found some names familiar to myself, though i don't know too much about that kind of stuff, i just listen to it sometimes.:D (musical violence is still waaay better than the real one:D) But as for reading-music: kind of a soundtrack/ambient works for me. (for example, something that can be found on jamendo: Roger Subirana; Ehma; zero-project, nice, calm and non-aggressive.)

Well, yeah, i listen to lot of metal but sometimes i just get a bit tired of all that aggression and stuff and then those peaceful bands come handy.:) (i guess you know what i mean, as lot of bands, i see in your charts are also pretty aggressive-sounding) And now i sometimes look at my own charts and think...what the hell...they not look like ones of an old metalhead anymore.:D New album of Balmorhea is indeed leaked and i even have it on my comp., but haven't had time to listen to it yet.

Yes, Balmorhea is indeed good, for me i discovered them pretty much accidentally not so long ago, while looking something nice and calm. (Needed something different in-between all this metal:D)Thanks for good wishes, have a nice day too.:)
