For instance, I discover music online, through sites like last.fm, youtube, tumblr, etc. I know that when I try to use the Internet in China, a lot of non-Chinese websites are blocked, or the video/media players can't connect. So how would you hear about small indie bands in other countries? Lol thanks, I guess.

That's interesting, I guess I just don't know enough young Chinese people. I have to say I never heard any metal when I was there... does that come from the Japanese influence, or is it Western metal? And how do you become exposed to Western indie music in China?

Sorry for late response.. yeah there is definitely a relationship between the meaning of the song and the arrangement of the video. But to me, what Jamie said rather sounds like an excuse of how the video turned out to be. I don't really think that they should have given a justification of what happened behind the scenes. The video is what it is, and nowadays artists like them have all the legitimacy to shoot videos like that. Only a few would maybe judge them. The postmodern art scene has come to a point where all weird experimental stuff is welcome so why justify... I am not thrilled with the new experimentalism of the video but it's alright. I'd rather see something creative...
