A last.fm listener, 'stupidstuff', turned me on to Shelagh McDonald who sings Scottish folk songs. Make sure if you listen to her you also read her bio, which is sad but may yet have a happy ending.

Hello and greetings from the pine barrens of New Jersey. Saw your shout on Jackson C Frank song about lack of content played on last.fm. Last.fm is owned by CBS and it sold all of it's listeners out for a little Google money and stopped streaming music. Google just opened Google play a paid music site. Try Rdio.com which I highly recommend for on demand albums and songs, and scrobbles directly to your last.fm library. My own personal guess is CBS will close last.fm soon.

Voor een muziekfan is Last.fm een mooi stuk 'gereedschap'. En het is ook nog social. Ey Kloas!, Last FM is idd super! Al die statistieken, je kan iedereen onbeschaamd stalken etc etc. Spotify is ook handig, daar ontdek ik misschien nog wel meer mee.

Ik kon me herinneren dat je zei dat je last fm gebruikte:), dus vandaar dat ik je sms'te. Jou muzieksmaak vind ik leuk, veel vrouwelijke singer songwriters:). Ook tof dat we Spinvis, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell en Sufjan Stevens gemeen hebben! Maar dat wist ik al een klein beetje. Ik luister zoals je ziet voornamelijk bandjes, maar singer songwriter muziek is primaprima :D
