London Calling by The Clash is the best album ever written. Seriously. I love it. Other great albums by smaller bands I like? How about i recommend some? they aren't the biggest bands and they might not have loads of singles but the albums themselves are awesome. Not Enough Night byt Kubichek!, Bang Bang Rock n Roll by Art Brut, All Tomorrow's Cymbals by Yeasayer, Capture/Release by The Rakes

Some of their work is far superior to the rest. Check out Deserter's Songs and, if you like early heavy guitar-rock psychedelia, Yerself is Steam.

MGMT has fantastic songs. Listen to Mercury Rev much? Their bassist, David Friedman, produced MGMT's album. Worth checking out.

And... One more brazilian suggestion: listen to Tribalistas. It sounds really good. ;]

Yeah! They're quite good!! Hnn... I saw that you haven't listen to some bands like The Last Shadow Puppets (Listen Standing Next to me) and Kaiser Chiefs (listen: Everyday I love you less and less). And if you like some flamenco fusion, you're gonna enjoy listening Ojos de Brujo (Listen Sultanas de Merkaillo) ;D
