Real emo is a useless term derived from angry hipsters, face it that "your" music is not the same anymore, just like all the clowns who say real metal/punk/dubstep, hell let's say real pop like Duran Duran... I used to be like that, then music and the act of catching up on new releases started to feel like a massive chore for me, and so i burned out for several months. It's a bit like people who binge watch tv shows and retain nothing. It's just another checkmark on their list.
