Oh yeah, that's a real shame. They don't tour out of Asia much so it must be a real bummer. They've never even toured my country.

Found you randomly on /mu/. Seems like our compatibility is super, but I don't know most of the stuff you listen to. If you feel like recommending me something, drop a shout! Also, I wonder whether you'd like something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suCpyaJbHJI It's electronic-ish, but the lead singer is present mostly in orchestras and jazz. I don't normally listen to this kind of stuff at all, but I saw her by chance in an event this week and it's surprisingly pleasant. Let me know what you think!

If you haven't already, check out the Books. Start with their album 'Thought for Food'.

I recommend A I A: Alien Observer or Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill to start with.

I think you would. She's DEFINITELY worth it. Her sound is one of the most unique out there. I highly recommend her beautiful and quiet music for middle of the night listening and for when you want to drift off to sleep.

Don't get me wrong, I love it. I think part of it is that I listened to Animals in very fragmented ways while I've only listened to Island at one go so far. Also Do Make Say Think is so sick, do you have any recs for jazzy post-rock like that? Japan's NATSUMEN is kinda similar

hmm that was my first time ever really listening to a grouper album, it had some pretty unique textures and i like her voice a lot. if you like ambient then go for it.

I've heard of them a lot but I've never checked them out. Any suggestions for an album to start with?
