i really like the whole album, my current faves are "diamonds, stay, pour it up, numb, jump, what now?, love without tragedy/mother mary, get it over with, lost in paradise, no love allowed," and "half of me." i really like the other songs too, but the only thing keeping me from loving "loveeeeeee song" is future's phrasing on the chorus and the annoying ass autotune. other than that it's such a great contemporary r&b song. a lot of fans seem polarized by this album, but it's exactly what i wanted from her (the darker sound and emotional vulnerability of rated r and the ratchét cuntitude of talk that talk) so i'm happy.

i didn't get into "confessions..." as an album until late last year because i thought it was overrated and i didn't appreciate her fully embracing an impersonal writing style as a tactic to give her music wider appeal, but i actually really like almost the entire album and it's light years beyond "mdoa." what else are you listening to?

'ey baybay--'ey baybay, i think overall it's a bad album: the production is reductive of most pop/dance music on the radio and overpowers her vocals the lyrics are tepid and so fucking juvenile at best--in a lot of ways it feels like a sequel to "hard candy,"--which i actually really like and is such an underrated album imo--but (like most sequels) inferior. the only thing making it bearable is the videos and her interviews reminding me why i like her tbh. what do you think of it.
