Ask yourself: what makes a genre? A genre inherently appears with certain rules, regulations, and a stringent yet flexible aesthetic that may be molded and transformed as one sees fit, perhaps ultimately sharing only the most arguable resemblance to its roots. This is okay, and deserves praise in most cases. What is not okay is taking a genre that doesn't share a single trace of likeness to its "namesake" (i.e. deathcore) and pander that false identity like a cocaine-addled preacher on a corner in Sodom. This must stop, once and for all. Abandon the old grindcore tag; it is now obsolete. Learn, educate, and eradicate the disease: we are slowly but surely reclaiming the beloved from the trolls.
