Steeld is one of the original Swiss New-Metal-bands. New Metal is a type of rock music which made the breakthrough in the late 90’s. It was typically called crossover before its breakthrough. The large variety of this genre made the containment very difficult. That’s why the term “nu Metal” or “New Metal” has come about to describe the combination of hard guitar riffs and raps. The Nu-Metal-Weave is represented by Bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, P.O.D, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Deftones and may others. The band Steeld has its beginning in 2001. Today, the band of five, belongs to a group of moulded bands from the southeast of Switzerland. They perform regularly and have had success on a national level as the give concerts and participate in contests. The young band achieved yet another goal with the release of their first EP in February 2009.
