Punk Goes Pop is a album released as a cover for some of the most popular songs of the set year, containing many tracks either pop or a "rap-pop" genre fashion. Containing many bands of a punk or hardcore punk style with their cover of one of the set tracks on the album it-self. Many of the bands add their own twist to the track they cover adding in high melodic singing, or a hard style breakdown leading into a complete band vocal chorus. Although many of the tracks may not fit the taste of its intended audience it bring's a new style to them. The actual album it-self promotes many new and upcomming bands that may have not been discovered without it's help.In totality the album if found will either reinforce or change the listeners perception of each band and can even inspire other genre listener's to take a chance at hearing new more modern genre styles.
