The polar opposite to the titular Dark Ambient style. Light Ambient is generally the root of all settling, comforting, and uplifting styles of ambient; from the soothing flow of Meditation and sleep music, to the slightly rhythmic and ethereal tunes that sprout daydreams and bliss in the mind.

At its core, Light Ambient is uplifting and peaceful. Its flexibility leaves open a wide variation between styles and sub-genres, but one must be careful to not confuse the flexibility of Light Ambient with that of uplifting, instrumental music. (Please do not also misunderstand the Light Ambient tag with the meaning of having little-to-no ambience over another style of music.)
