All new breakcore should called lolicore, I´m bored of the lack of originality of absolutely everyone who currently does breakcore, copying others and only putting anime on their covers.

i think calling breakcore a "loosely defined genre that adheres to a loose set of stylistic rules" is kind of unfair and leaves a lot of room for confusion, it's even worse when slop video essays take this and convert it into "loosely defined genre purely defined by the use of fast amen breaks" a better way to define the genre would be "a heavily experimental genre which pushes the definition of syncopation and drum chopping into an unpredictable, fast and complex yet organized abstraction of rhythm, the accompanying elements of these breaks vary by artist and style" or something like that. when you listen to breakcore you never know how the next section will develop, you just know it will be complex, classic breakcore artist took complexity as almost as a sport, on the other hand those ambient anime jungle artists just take rhythmlabs breaks or the jungle-jungle sample pack and loop them for 6 minutes without further processing lmao, at best they will use dblue glitch or grossbeat.

lol you're mad at me for giving you advice in order to find more good content? "most of you fuckheads don't understand breakcore to begin with" lmfao I know Sewerslvt and Tokyopill aren't breakcore. Just because I like anime doesn't mean I don't know breakcore. Check out modern labels like unlucky wind, Mad Breaks, Mobcore Chicago Records, South England Hate Club, Breakcore Demon, Reactionary, Favicon, Thoughost, Norm Corps, Cheapskape Records, Moth to a Flame Records. Wawawa, Shoebill, Kewyo, hkmori, bye2, they're some of the best breakcore artists out there. There's a great new generation of breakcore artists that a lot of you are missing out on. Change won't happen if you just stay in your #animefree circles. Go support those artists.

i blame the fat chicano from california for ruining the genre with his shitty youtube tutorial everyone including sewerslut followed, "powerpuff girls genre" is honestly the worst way to put it.

it's still ruined and the worst part is the non-breakcore songs in the top breakcore tracks aren't even tagged with breakcore anymore

I have nothing to offer but blood, piss, tears and nut. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of scrobbling and of sucking. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war, by amenbreak, drumbeat and snare, with all our might and with all the bass that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our BPM? I can answer in one word: It is epic, epic at all costs, epic in spite of all terror, epic, howeve

I can tell you don't know anything about the genre because the only breakcore you've heard is Venetian Snares. If you actually knew about everyone in the original scene you might be a bit more knowledgeable, but no. People like you just listen to the same shit never branching out. Then when they talk about music they act all knowledgeable...
