I tried downloading this bands album a couple of months ago mate, but couldn't find it anywhere on the internet other than the official, legal way. Fuq legal. I've never been bothered about the band mate so have never caught one of their shows. They're getting quite big locally though. There is a thin line between taking inspiration from a band and just plain ripping off. Violet unfortunately kind of just do the latter, which is starting to work for them I suppose. Also, I have seen the latest announcement for Hit The Deck. I used to listen to The Dangerous Summer a couple of years ago, when alternate rock was my main jam. It looks slightly better, I will probably end up going. They're alright, but their sound is a rip off of Dance Gavin Dance. The lead singer looks like Jonny Craig, tries to sound like Jonny Craig and best of all is also called Jonny. Hmm, go figure.

Thought you would like them. 'The Current Will Carry Us' is their new album that got them recognised. I was hooked on the first listen, but they grow the more you listen. They have 2 albums and a split EP. They're both of even quality mate, I couldn't choose which one I like better. Their first album though, [album artist=Counterparts]Prophets[/album], has songs with short clean vocal parts, which is the only difference from TCWCU. The split EP, [album artist=counterparts]Counterparts​/​Exalt Split EP[/album] is their newest stuff that has 2 songs on it by them and 2 by another band that really aren't that good. Those 2 songs though mate are definitely in their top 5 tracks in my opinion though. Waiting for a UK tour then imma' fanboy the shit out of them.
