Agreed, do miss the more high energy parts found on their previous albums. Ah cool, though it's kinda Eve you'd want to hear live, such a fantastic song. Yeah it was a total surprise for me coming into the track, just good to hear his vocals in 2017! It is worth a listen. So gorgeously produced and some really catchy parts that I keep wanting to come back to.

I quite like it! Feels like a very accomplished album which is neat considering it's been 5 years since Cope. Lead, MD is an especially great MO track. How are you enjoying it? Also that new converge. Like holy.... Also what did you think of Aaron Turners part on the new CW track? Also the Tyler is worth a listen! So been enjoying that album.

It would be cool if they just set up a bandcamp page and were just like; here - get at it. Oh, did not know that. A throwback post-hardcore record in 2016 from Thrice? That would be interesting to say the least. It feels like they have finally, through this hiatus, kinda been able to drop any preconceived notion of what they should sound like or what a new record will take. Considering most of their records is either a conscious change or a reaction to the previous one they have made. // Hmm, I mean they have a new producer and two new band members so I can imagine that creates a different vibe I am sure you of all people would be able to pickup on. // I have yet to only give it one listen but I dug it for sure. My only issue is the length as I grow slightly tired of the sound towards the end. But they manage to mix up the song structure from previous death metal I've heard. Surprisingly enjoyable guitar solos on the album too. Also the gurgling vocals and swampy bass are interestin!

For a while I thought that was gonna be the future for the band but I am pleasantly surprised they are making a new album at all. Really curious to hear where the tone of this record is gonna land. Do you know if they are they signed to any label by the way? Or do you think it's this gonna be self released. They seem to be working in a studio with other collaborators so I'm curious to see if the album will be self-released or through a label. I mean they haven't exactly had much promotion around the album so far. // I think purple is their most consistent album for me personally. I have always found Baroness to have really solid albums but have always had a track or two that didn't grab me all that much. Granted Purple is a short a concentrated affair but I think that only works in their advantage. Speaking of other metal, currently listening to Chthe'ilist whom I saw you reblogg. First Death Metal album to grab in a while.

I do remember is discussing your views of Dustin lyrics, and I do sometimes think of your critique of it and on occasion it can bother me slightly but I don't think it was to the extent you experienced. thought it was pretty good actually. it felt like the new school of marvel films in that it's pretty much constant action which isn't my favorite thing but that's fine. Kylo Ren was the best character he's so cool. a lot of it was hammy but i mean that's star wars, and i'm eagerly awaiting for the next set of films.

Pallbearer are actually coming around Gothenburg very soon or they already have - I'd not mind seeing them live despite not fully getting into either of their albums even if I want to like them. But both bands seem like they bring it live, should be a good show. Yeah the artwork is neat - I suppose I did now you dig the j.blake now that I think of it. You ooze metal sometimes it's hard to remember you of course have your ear to the ground in regards to other genres as well ;)

They both apparently had swedish girlfriends which is what had brought them to the country. // Yeah they were quite over-the-top - listened to "Rosenkreuz" and I guess it had its catchy moments but I can't see myself getting much more out of them than an appreciation from afar with a "this is not for me". I do have the memory of not enjoying the production of the albums, or at least in Through Silver and Blood, it just sounding a bit hollow or cold maybe it a better word for it. Is that a quality you feel is inherent to them or before listening I maybe should look into other versions if say my (albeit 320) copy is ripped poorly? And yes, I have those few albums as well. They just never loose their power even if you don't want to listen to them all the time.

Ohh so is that my next step. Neurosis is actually a beast I've yet to connect truly with. I have A sun that never sets and Through silver and blood - worthy of a revisit I think!

Hahahaha, I'm gonna sound like an arsehole, but I was massively into them during the first three albums - I was even an avid watcher of their tour/studio videos on youtube. But yeah, the albums since then... I would do terrible things to avoid them.

The Michigan fan base might be small, but they make up for their smaller size with their passion and heart. Thus I shall appreciate every band that decides to make a stop here! I will be attending a few shows over the summer. If you attend as well, look for me!

I had been living outside of the United States from 2008 to 2014. I thought I would be coming back home to more shows near my area, but I have had to travel to Chicago and Cleveland for many shows. I will be going to Cleveland, yet again, to see Ensiferum. So, you are correct, Blind Guardian actually stopping in Michigan is a big relief!

Hello, fellow Michigander! The instant that I became aware of Blind Guardian coming to the Crofoot, I checked hour by hour until tickets were on sale. I have been to many shows in my ten years of metal listening, but I have not had the opportunity to see Blind Guardian. I also knew that Blind Guardian had the major possibility of selling out quickly in North America, thus I purchased as early as possible. To top it all off, Grave Digger will be there as well. I am sure many more will join the event as the date draws near, but thank you for taking the opportunity to speak to me anyways! Cheers to you and the love of metal!
