Finally. A well deserved victory.

I wonder how long it will be till you hit the hallowed number of 1,000 artists in your library

I figured that that would be your reaction. Did I give you the full album? I can't remember if I deleted anything before giving it to you.

haha oh wow I don't even remember leaving that comment and had no idea we hadn't exchanged last.fm comments since march. ridiculous. most of the year ago.

Satanic Rites of Drugula just reminds me so much of Guelph now...

hahahaha I was just going to say the same thing about elton john making it when I read the beginning of that comment. I think Phil collins was involved also. but there was also a tiny bit of vaguely african sounding stuff, of the same variety that you find in stores like green earth on those machines where you press on the picture of the CD and it plays a sample, and there's usually one with thunderstorms and one for relaxation, and one called something something simba africa something. Also, thanks to having last.fm since 2005, I can see the exact moment we consummated our friendship, when we first exhanged CDs. I remember NOFX being the first one you lent me, and according to last.fm that took place on February 28 2006. AKA more than 7 years ago AKA almost a third of our lives has passed since then (!!!)

I have seen it, and I remember the soundtrack winning the oscar, but I didn't really think it was anything special. the tron soundtrack still is superior to everything.

Found?

hahaha that's an understatement. CDs were still semi-relevant.

Now that's something to think about, just how long ago that CD swap occured and how young we were, and what our frames of mind were back then.

I figured out that my computer isn't new enough, that's why the new one doesn't work, so I managed to find the old version and got it to work again.

Damn it I tried to update the scrobbler and it just stopped working and wouldn't even open, I restarted the computer and redownloaded it and everything...so I just went back to the crappy old iscrobbler that I used to use for the last 4 years haha.

Congratulations.

I see your scrobbles still don't work. I haven't updated my scrobbler because of that. I don't have a solution for you.

Haha I always listen to your music, I've discovered a lot lately thanks to you. and yeah I didn't update it but it stopped working for a while, I just closed it down and then started it back up again and it started working again. Even if it's not working it's still saving up all your listens until it works again, it's not like you're losing valuable data haha.

I see you like that Amanda Palmer song, I'm surprised...how come you never showed me it? Amy played it in the car yesterday and it was immediately awesome.

Going deaf will be a slow, painful process.

Which means I (and you too, because you listen to a similar amount of music) (counting stuff not counted by last.fm and before we got it) have spent like 1/20th of our lives listening to music. Probably more.

If you average out 100,000 listens at 4 minutes a song, that's 400,000 minutes, which is 6,666 hours, which is over 277 days.

Drop out of life with bong in hand Follow the smoke toward the riff-filled land

me too! I think I need an itunes update bc I'm finding myself agreeing with your charts more than last.fm thinks I should haha

Yeah the 'you were born a unicorn' line was something remembered from his shows too. Damn it, I thought I gave you Cavaliers!...I'm sure I'll forget whenever I end up giving you more stuff next time too.

I can't pick a favourite. I've had The Kettle Black stuck in my head for the last 2 years so I was happy that was on the album, but When You Were Born, Bullet, Oh My Soul! are also amazing.

http://michaelchristopherduguay.bandcamp.com/album/heavy-on-the-glory I have a feeling that you may enjoy this.

HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT? THAT IS HERESY, SAYING THEY NEED A GUITARIST! Once you see them live you will retract that statement. I've noticed the lyrics very often seem to be ambiguous in multiple ways. I listened to Om. It's not heavy enough! I was expecting something like Electric Wizard. They'd probably be good live, but not the type of stuff I would listen to. The production is weird, the drums are too loud.

http://www.myspace.com/gatineausteamers I'm playing with these guys in ottawa.

Not the way I thought it would....but it's still amazing.

Yeah you did tell me how you're going to miss every house show, that is so depressing. It's like part of your Guelph life will be missing. I won't be listening to old NMH anytime soon.

Old Neutral Milk Hotel....I'll never understand it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMtpcWf8Srk&feature=player_embedded Dare you to say this isn't awesome.

Yes. I wonder if anyone would have a house show with loud bands.

cant help itttt! is there any other lifestyle that has as much strength joy AND beauty? i think not

They would've played together at my june 8 show but Troy went to Quebec. And you weren't there anyway.

Well it's up to you or someone else you know to plan it.

I have to admit I was pretty sad that they were only able to play 2 songs but it was still so awesome to see them. I'm assuming you went? Hearing BTBAM live is just amazing..even if it is only 2 songs. Was still decent. Got to meet them afterwards and have my vinyls signed so I was pretty happy overall haha. Also, WE'RE SUPER!

haha mystical psychedelic? not really. http://vimeo.com/47306347 here's a live video without guitar though. If by mystical psychedelic you mean never knowing quite what they're doing then yes haha.

http://watershedhour.bandcamp.com/ offliberty this. if you haven't listened to it/I didn't give it to you already, that is.

...except it's the same weekend as Heavy TO. That sucks. Oh well I guess I'll still go.

http://www.creativearts.on.ca/performers01.html Potentially the most ridiculous lineup I've seen, I know what we should be doing on August 12. Elliott Brood followed by Lights followed by THE B-52S! For free!

Also, Alestorm are playing in Toronto on Halloween. Sure it's another lame metal tour they're part of, but let me repeat that, ALESTORM are playing on HALLOWEEN.

No I Never (and Xenon, if you haven't heard it yet) are up on the Soundcloud...I think No I Never is the cliche BBB song taken to its conclusion.

Turns out that Powerglove tickets were just online anyway so we didn't need to worry about ordering them this far in advance. But yeah they are purchased anyway, and printed off.

EXCELLENT, it will be worth any hardship.

Today is after yesterday which the day before was after tomorrow.
