From the above named bands, I sense most similarity to Porcupine Tree and Pain of Salvation. I also hear a bit of Katatonia, Opeth, Queensryche and Superior. Regardless of the comparisons, this is one excellent EP. It leaves you beggging for more. I like the shifts from light, acoustic music to prog rock to prog metal to all-out metal headbanging. This is none more evident than the final opus, "Blood". The vocals go from subtle, with a slight accent, to spoken, to ferocious. Don't let that scare you too much, however, as it's all good. My highest recommendation. RUN, don't walk and order this CD right away.
