Love the chorus in the background, very reminiscent to the female voices Pink Floyd used in Dark Side of the Moon. Really appreciate that subtle reference <3

I think this is one of the worse Blackfield songs. Maybe that's why this old outtake hasn't been released until now. SW thought to himself - hey, I'm making a garbage record now so let's find something atrocious in my archives of unreleased stuff and make the album even worse!

Hey, I'm glad you enjoy it. I wish I could too. I personally don't care what genre music is as long as I consider it quality (good songwriting, interesting sound design). I listen to a ton of sweet pop music as well as for example experimental abstract electronic music, metalcore, jazz fusion, hip-hop, post-rock, ambient, orchestral... anything really, I don't discriminate. I'm a firm believer that in every thinkable musical genre good music can be found. My issue with SW output of the last couple of years is that it just lacks both qualities mentioned above.

I'm just baffled how could someone like SW suddenly lose it. I was hoping TTB would be an exception but hearing the new tracks I'm losing hope this man will ever release something worth remembering again. I was of course exaggerating in my first post, objectively it's not all utter shit it's just... completely mediocre. I think the only reason I'm even wasting my time with these songs is because of who has written them. If the SW brand wasn't attached to the tracks I wouldn't have listened to the songs more than once. The only exception is Personal Shopper. While I find it highly derivative it's actually nice to listen to and I enjoy the song.
