I don't understand. I thought I had Blunt Aus Nord's song playing on Winamp as I had Pyramids playing on Spotify. The first song sounds like they just put their track on top of theirs. It sounds exactly the same. It goes beyond being influenced by them...

Any album with steve brodsky's clean vocals, jupiter e.g. Actually the music itself doesnt remind cave in so much, but the vocals are clearly similar.

Man, that new record is unbelievable, it feels like out of this world experience. What a beautiful journey!

Some serious resemblance to Cave In. Of course, pitchfork's vacant review of the new album completely misses that. Guess that's what happens when you have no people born before 1990 on the staff.

I definitely noticed the Krallice /Sailors with Wax Wings semblance immediately. Also, vocals on Northern Meadow remind me kind of the new Code album. BUT, with this overkill of "sounds like" Pyramids is shockingly unique in their place between genres.

My first encounter as well. Really like it, reminds me of Cave In mixed with something altogether less wholesome and chthonic.

New album is very similiar with "Blut Aus Nord" but the vocals don't sound like shit. [3]

The new album was my first encounter with Pyramids: mellow (love the vocals) and soothing, but omnious and very twisted at the same time. I like that sense of duality in music. I'm also going to check out the debut album.

This band is awesome! And ya, I don't get the post rock and shoegaze tags for this band. I can see a small black metal influence with the drums, but thats it.. This band doesn't fit a genre. I think the best way to describe it would be haunting yet dreamlike.
