Good album but this track is bobbins, This is the scenario if New Order kept trying to be Joy Division ( No Chance ). Thankfully New Order found their own equally brilliant direction on their next album Power, Corruption, & Lies

I don't understand the contention that they were "trying" to be like Joy Divison. The song was already showing up in live performances the September after Ian died, it's not like the other members of the band were begrudgingly going along with Ian's ideas. This was the style they were into in 1980.

holding the last of the totally awesome post punk guitars of joy division. every album after musically lost that talent.

new order never got any better than this imo. the danceable stuff was okay in parts, but nothing beats the post-Joy Division music [2]

tomrud73 - totally agree about yr first post. Movement is a much more interesting album than their later stuff. They became progressively more blander after the first few albums.

the drum machine sounds pretty futuristic for 1981, or whatever the year was when this came out
