Jimmie Vaughan

Jimmie Vaughan provides a vital link between contemporary music and its proud heritage, as well as being a longtime avatar of retro cool. From spearheading the current blues revival with The Fabulous Thunderbirds to his Grammy nominated ‘Plays Blues, Ballads and Favorites’ album, the older brother of the late legendary guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, is set to play some of the best blues on the planet at this show.

Joining Jimmie Vaughan is Nikki Hill, a musician drawing on rhythm and blues singers such as Etta James, LaVern Baker, Otis Redding and Solomon Burke. Nikki’s tough vocal style fits with contemporary sensibilities yet evokes all the great blues shouters of previous decades, leading to the singer being hailed as “The Southern Fireball”, “the new soul sensation” and even “the new Queen of Rock and Roll”.
