Biography
Tom Streeter began writing and producing rhythmic noise under the name Viral Lode back in 2005. A few years and a few self-released albums later a gradual shift in style began to creep into the usually uncompromising rhythmic onslaught; rather than let it become the sound of Viral Lode, he decided to move the new aspects (breakbeats, strings, glitch) to a new project and Vibrio was born in September 2009.
Vibrio continues the biological trend of Viral Lode; the name Vibrio being taken from the bacterial genus Vibrio, which is the organism responsible for cholera. It can also glow in the dark.
The debut album, Reprieve was released on 7th October 2009.
