Biography
Nuremberg-based quartet, UnPrinted is made up of Alex Theobold (lead voc/guit), Jonas Hariri (lead guit/back voc), Simon Loesch (bass) and Roland Miess (drums/back voc), four personalities each with individual taste of music which doesn't always overlap. Because of their strong ideals they find their common denominator in the music of the band. The chemistry, the friendship and shared hardships that make up UnPrinted formed an ideal base for the evolving process of emotional rock songs.
Their music is Pop-Rock with strong Britpop and Indy-Rock influences. All the melodies and English lyrics are written by themselves so that the autobiographical influence in their songs provide a melancholy which begins in powerful rock songs and finds its zenith in emotional ballads.
The band was founded in January 2000 and since March 2004 UnPrinted has found its permanent line up. The band performed these songs at the internationally renowned Music Festival The Bardentreffen in Nuremberg with a total audience of over 200,000 people and went on to perform in several other locations. Additionally the band went on to win the Check’n’Play band competition of the Music Centrale (the leading supporter of independent musicians).
The Nuernberger Nachrichten (biggest newspaper of UnPrinted’s hometown Nuremberg ) wrote: “UnPrinted combines dreamy ballads, plausible melodies and rocky elements to one Sound …”(24.07.2004) and ”Rocky guitarsound, cuddly ballads and defined lyrics; that’s the mix of UnPrinted, promising!” (13./14.03.2004).
After working on the new EP “in this diary” (independent release on 11 th April ‘05) with Phil Ryan (former Frontman of ‘the Animals’) and Ric Simon in Ric Simon Studios in Nuremberg in winter ‘04/’05, the band played - apart from several gigs in Germany - in London in the course of the promotion tour of the new EP (They played the internationally famous 12 Bar Club London on 20 th March and blew the audience away).
UnPrinted goes on tour across Europe March/April 2006!
