The Legitimate Excuse (TLE) is an alternative punk/emo band formed in 2001 in Pennsylvania by Shawn Milke (later of Alesana) and Nick Onorato. Known for early 2000s punk rock, they released albums like Pathetic, Ordinary and later signed to Revival Recordings in 2018 to play "#DadPunk," focusing on themes of parenthood.
