Biography

The Same Last Name consists of members from literally coast-to-coast: Providence, Kansas City, Houston, and San Diego, who met at different times and places in Texas dating back to 2006 to when the band formed in 2010. Having predominantly played in hardcore bands in the past, they each wanted to take part in an alternative/pop punk project reminiscent of the bands they grew up listening to. The 4-piece began practicing last August, and by February went into the studio to record their full-length debut album "End of the Trend", independently released in June via iTunes. The Same Last Name regularly plays shows in the DFW area, including a Battle of the Bands at Curtain Club they won in March, and The Door and Six Flags in July. In the upcoming months they plan to build their quickly-growing fanbase through touring and diligent promotion, while continuing to write songs for their next album.
