Gunner Green Shepardson, also known as Nettspend, was born on March 18, 2007, in Richmond, Virginia. He is a rapper known for his contributions to the jerk subgenre of hip-hop. He made his first song in the fifth grade and gained significant attention in late 2023 when a snippet of his song drankdrankdrank went viral on Twitter.
Nettspend is affiliated with underground rap collectives such as NOVAGANG, crashoutboyz, Nitemare and 1c34. He released his first mixtape KICKDOOR in 2023. In December 2024, Nettspend released his debut album Bad Ass F*cking Kid, which showcases his distinctive style characterized by distorted 808s, loose piano riffs, and glimmering synths. In August 2025, he dropped a 2 song EP titled gone too soon, serving as a bridge between BAD ASS F*CKING KID and his upcoming album, early life crisis.
Nettspend’s rise in the music scene has been marked by both acclaim and criticism, reflecting his impact on the evolving landscape of hip-hop. His music has been described as "a symphony of stimuli" by i-D Magazine.
