"rising" is the sophomore album by mxmtoon, released on May 20, 2022.
The lead single “mona lisa” was released on February 8 of the same year, although the album was officially announced just after the roll-out for the second single, “sad disco,” whose music video was premiered on March 24. The third single, “victim of nostalgia,” was released on April 27. Finally, exactly a week before the album’s release, the track “coming of age” was released as the final single.
The Oakland-based artist has promoted rising through a tour across the whole US, arranged for the spring of 2022 and featuring Chloe Moriondo as a guest act.
