The track was marked as the breakout hit off of the Tell Me About Tomorrow album because of its showcase of his internal scars. Despite the grim backstory and meaning of the song, it became a popular Tiktok audio with individuals using the beat for skits and dances.
“Pray” was promoted on jxdn’s Instagram as well as his Twitter and struck massive success from that point forward. It was also promoted by big-time TikTok stars such as Dixie D'Amelio and Larray who are both close friends with jxdn and supported him through the depression process.
