Biography
Joe grew up in Jersey in the 80's and 90's, then went to college in Hartford. He's been playing guitar and writing songs for over 10 years. He moved to Baltimore in 2007. Since then he's been playing gigs and open mics locally; his wife, Katie Bowers, is an extremely talented vocalist, and together they have collaborated with several local musicians in live performances. In 2004 he released a (very) lo-fi disc called Greetings from Rockaway, NJ that was well received by the family and friends who listened to it. In 2010 he's released an EP titled Demonstrosity which is a collection of various recordings made in the past few years. This is a precursor to his forthcoming album, Believe (working title), which is due mid-2010. He writes songs that are equal parts head and heart, light and dark and expresses a point of view that is unique and challenging. He draws inspiration from the relationships, both personal and social, that he witnesses in life and participates in.
