Grind/Metalcore band that started as side project of onewaymirror w/ Will from gonewithyou on bass.
The band first started as a side project to onewaymirror, featuring all of the same 4 members, the only difference being OWM's bassist Henry was the second vocalist in DOJD. The band played their very first couple of shows with this lineup, with two vocalists and no bassist, but they added bassist Will from the band gonewithyou soon after. The band went on to play with this lineup for most of their first year. In contrast to Onewaymirror's true emoviolence sound, DOJD's sound was initially sassy screamo scenegrind, which can be heard on their first release: their split with Letsmakenothinghappen. As the band continued playing, they drifted more and more towards a more intense grindy metalcore sound, which could be heard on their at-the-time-unreleased new songs, outgrowing a lot of their sass influence. As they evolved, they had a lineup change at the end of their first year as a band, with second vocalist Henry moving on to play guitar alongside Harris, while they added vocalist Angus from the band Start Today to replace Henry as a second vocalist. With this lineup, they went on to record their debut album, All Or Nothing, which showcases their new heavier grindy metalcore songs, and their fuller thicker sound with Henry on guitar and Angus' low growls.
