Biography
Deafening Sky was formed in the end of 1999! Our first demo was recorded six months later and was called Its just the beginning! Even if the sound was really bad we had some good feedbacks! We played our first gig in Namur around May 2000! Our music style was not yet very original but we tried to do our best to find as quickly as possible our own style! We were really influenced by bands like Course of Action, Wise up, Once Never Again After our first demo we begin to play a more metallic music thanks to bands like Caliban, Heaven Shall Burn and even Cradle of Filth!! Now we can say that we have found our own style which can be defined as a powerful emo metal core with a technical touch! After one year and a half our drummer decides to leave the band! We find a new one called Olivier! He played his first gig after two weeks at the magasin4 in Brussels with Heaven Shall Burn and Length of Time! It was time for us to record a new demo because our style was too different than what we did before! In March 2002 Another useless day was born and a new era begun for us! We played many cool shows thanks to this demo with bands like Caliban, Course of Action, Death Before Disco, Broken Promises, Negate, Fall Silent, Reply, Born From Pain… Unfortunately our bass player and our main guitar player left the band for different reasons around September 2002! It was very difficult to find a new guitar player because he had to have as much skills as our old oneAt first we find a new bass player (Yves) who was immediately really involved in the band! Some months later Sylvain joined the band! Now we are back with a really motivated line-up and we are ready to rock your city!!!
