I have been experimenting with electronic sounds since around the age of 5 when I got (or should I say, when my parents bought me) my first computer - a Sinclair Spectrum 48k. Admittedly it wasn't really capable of much more than primitive, monophonic beeps, but it was fun.

After the Speccy I moved up to an Atari ST and immediately fell in love with sound tracker software which, at the time, made it feel like I had the power of a professional studio at my fingertips. The reality was of course that I was making crappy music with crappy samples, but it was still fun.

These days I am still in love with trackers and have used them exclusively since my first experiences on the Atari ST. My current tracker of choice is the truely awesome Renoise which, thanks to modern PC technology, does actually give me the power of a professional studio at my fingertips. Whether I'm still making crappy music or not is another question entirely, but as long as it continues to be fun, I'll continue doing it!

In addition to releasing music under the alias "dblue", I am also 50% of the rad band Mars Wind (the other 50% being Steve Mason aka in_tense).

I am also the creator of the rather infamous Glitch VST plug-in.
