Bad News is a return to form for blink-182, seemingly Dude Ranch punk sounding. The song was originally written about Mark’s feelings towards Tom when he left the band the second time around, but Mark changed certain lines to make it more relatable to the masses. This song was mentioned when Travis was answering the question “Goat Blink-182 song?” with his daughter Alabama for GOAT Talk, asking her why hers wasn’t “Bad Bad News”, as the song was still called that at time of recording.
