Biography
Drummer James Zitro has recorded very few sessions in 40 something years in the business, but those that have made it on to wax are absolutely essential for any avant garde jazz collection. Zytron was a 70's spiritual jazz group fronted by drummer James Zitro and saxophonist David Leibman.
Other members included Paul Contos - flute, Paul Nagle - piano, Stan Poplin - bass.
Zitro, however, was the group's face and creative force.
