The track is about Zayn’s experiences with a lover who also happens to be an entertainer. Sofia Jamora features in both the “Entertainer” and “Let Me” music videos, acting as the girl that Zayn refers to in the songs. However, Jamora and Malik don’t have any history. Some speculate that Jamora was casted for the videos due to her strong resemblance to Gigi Hadid, who at the time was Malik’s ex-girlfriend. As of February 2020, Hadid and Malik are back together. As “Let Me” was about Gigi Hadid, it is a safe assumption that this is the same case with “Entertainer,” as the track is the sequel to “Let Me”.
"Entertainer” is Zayn Malik’s second 2018 single following the soothy track released back in April this year, “Let Me”.
Malik released this new single on May 23, 2018 by a worldwide premiere on Beats 1 along with a next video on his official VEVO channel with a follow-up. Some of the clips have appeared on the trailer of previous single.
