Biography
Zach Ricks was born in Rexburg, Idaho, USA, and grew up on a potato farm (as a lot of people do in that part of Idaho). As a young kid, he got into reading in general, and science fiction/fantasy more specifically, and has been reading that ever since he was eight.
Zach considers his influences to be such authors as Piers Anthony, Alan Dean Foster, Stephen King, and podcasters such as Evo Terra, Michael Mennenga, Tee Morris, Scott Sigler, and J.C. Hutchins.
Zach Ricks has lived in various places around the western U.S., and now calls Austin, TX, home. He's the creator of the Geek Survival Guide (http://www.geeksurvivalguide.org), co-host of the Gut Check Cast (http://gutcheckcast.info), and is starting a new project in 2010 - a short story podcast called the Mad Poet Files.
