Biography
There are at least six bands named Writhe:
1.) A blackened deathcore band from Twin Cities, MN. They released their first EP - GUIDE US TO OUR GRAVES on June 22nd, 2018.
2.) A sludge metal band from Burlington, VT. Their sound can be simply described as evil, including various unsettling and horrifying samples, crushing guitar and bass riffs, and explosive and precise drumming.

3.) A metallic hardcore band from the Northeast of England featuring ex-members of other Northeast bands such as Kanashibara, Violent Crime and Fuck That. Writhe released their first 3-track demo in December 2008 which is available from shows.
4.) An atmospheric/post-black metal project from Leighton Buzzard, UK, created by sole member John D. Reedy.
5.) A post-punk/rock band from Copenhagen. Their sound is raw, high-energy and melodic, with themes of apocalypse, self-hatred and desperation. They released their first EP, self-titled, in 2020 and are working on a full-album.
